Glass & Glazing
One of the most critical elements in a conservatories design is the type and make-up of the glazing material. Working closely with major glass suppliers, Windsor Conservatories has developed one of the industry’s leading glass packages with respect to performance.
Frames – two glazing options are available for the vertical frames.
• LowE – this is a double pane insulated glass unit with a LowE coating and an Argon gas fill.
• Enviroglaze – this is our optimum performance glass and consists of a triple pane insulated glass unit with LowE coating and Krypton gas fill. This glass units insulating factor is an amazing “R” value of 9.26 in the vertical plane.
Roof – three glazing options are available for the roof:
• LowE – this is a double pane insulated glass unit with a LowE coating and an argon gas fill. The external pane can be tinted to shade the interior of the conservatory if required.
• Enviroglaze – this is our optimum performance glass and consists of a triple pane insulated glass unit with a LowE coating and an Argon gas fill.
• Heatguard Polycarbonate™ – this modern material is almost 200 times stronger than glass when impacted and compliments any conservatory style. Grey in appearance on the outside due to a special coating which reflects up to 50% of the suns radiant heat, the interior face is a bright white, reflecting any internal light to ensure a bright, airy interior. Heatguard enhances this reflected light by allowing approximately 7% of natural light to enter the room.
Compare Enviroglaze performance glass from Windsor Conservatories to other products and realize the difference the correct glass choice can make. Note the significant improvements in R value (insulation) and ultraviolet protection offered by Enviroglaze performance glass.
